Approval of Sachsen Magistrale
The Sachsenmagistrale is one of the traffic routes between old and new countries whose development is prioritised in the context of German unification. GQS was responsible for the plan inspection and approval procedures.
The “Sachsenmagistrale” is comprised of the
Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Nürnberg-Hof-Leipzig/Dresden line sections. For the
implementation of the conversion of the individual line sections, the
Gesellschaft für Qualitätssicherung und Qualitätsüberwachung mbH (GQS)
was entrusted by the main contractor, project centre Dresden of the
German Unity Project Organisation, with the plan inspection and
approval works in the Dresden-Zwickau section. The works were to be
carried out in the period from 1997 to 2004. The focal points within
this complex project were the Chemnitz-Glauchau-Zwickau,
Dresden-Freital-Tharandt and Freiberg-Flöha sections.
Plan inspection and acceptance services had to be provided for the following signal box equipment:
- Mechanical signal boxes with colour light signals, GS II DR type;
electrical points, GS II DR type, and axle counters AzL 70-30 in the
Mosel and Freiberg stations
- Mechanical signal boxes with colour light signals, GS II DR type,
and electrical points, GS II DR type, in the Sankt Egidien,
Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Frankenstein, Flöha, Oederan, Tharandt and
Glauchau-Schönbörnchen stations
- Electromechanical signal boxes with colour light signals, GS II DR type, in the Freiberg and Chemnitz-Siegmar stations
- Automated relay block posts, GS II DR type, at the Breitenau and Falkenau block posts
In connection with the putting into operation of the computerised
signal boxes on the “Sachsenmagistrale”, modifications works also had
to be carried out in the adjacent operating centres:
Electronic signal box Glauchau station
Modification of Waldenburg and Meerane stations (both with mechanical
signal box with colour light signals) including train code system type
ZN P 801
Electronic signal box Freital Potschappel
Adaptation of Dresden-Altstadt station signal box B1 and B3 (2 x GS II
DR type installation of two one-track lines between Dresden-Altstadt
and Freital-Potschappel with adaptation to blocking system ZBS 600 and
ZN P 801 train operated half barrier level crossing type RBUET at the
previous Felsenkeller block post).

| Modernisation of signalling systems in Latvia |

| INGENO Europrojekte GmbH strengthens its presence in the Eastern European region: Alcatel SEL AG Stuttgart has entrusted the company with the implementation planning for signalling systems and underground cabling on the railway link between the Belorussian border near Indra and Ventspils, Latvia’s major port. In addition, INGENO Europrojekte GmbH has been awarded the order to manage and monitor the surveying works, as part of the basic analysis, on the so-called east-west corridor. |
