Dipl.-Ing. Jens Flachsbarth studied civil engineering in Hamburg,
specialising in railway engineering. From 1977 to 1992, he worked for
the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Railway). During this period he
supervised several construction projects, his last project being part
of the new construction of the ICE service building in
Hamburg-Eidelstedt. In 1992, he founded the consulting firm Flachsbarth
& Thormälen GmbH in Bad Oldesloe focussing on planning, consulting
and supervision of railway construction projects. In 1993, he was
appointed as railway construction expert by Chamber of Commerce in Lübeck.
Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Angel started his career at the German Railway, soon
specialising in planning and consulting for electronic railway
signalling systems. From 1990-1992, he worked for Deutsche Eisenbahn Consulting (DEC) as consultant for
technical infrastructure of the high speed line Madrid–Sevilla. As an
employee of the Deutsche Einheit planning firm he was in charge of the
technical infrastructure of the German Unification Transport Projects.
In 1994 he set up his first company, specialising in electrical
engineering and consultancy services for the realisation of major
railway projects.
Both managers and their firms have been working closely together since
1992. Common projects and common objectives led in 1997 to the
foundation of the GQS Gesellschaft für Qualitätssicherung und
-überwachung as an expert organisation for control and safety
technology.
In 1999, they reorganised themselves as the INGENO Group, structuring
their central business divisions into autonomous companies: INGENO
Europrojekte GmbH for all technical railway planning projects, BPG
Bauüberwachungs- und Projektsteuerungsgesellschaft for project
monitoring and management, GQS Gesellschaft für Qualitätssicherung- und
Qualitätsüberwachung for expert opinion services.
In 2002, they founded INGENO CONSULT BPK in Poland to bring their
project experience to this new member state of the European Union.
INGENO CONSULT BPK is managed by Dipl.-Ing. Przemyslaw Jan Budnik. In
the 1980s, he was head of department of the Polish State Railway (PKP)
in Stettin, Poland. In the 1990s, he occupied leading positions in a
consulting firm and a wholesale enterprise in Berlin. In 2001, Budnik
became a self-employed planner in the field of electrical engineering.
Since spring of 2004, he has been responsible for co-ordination and
implementation of transport facilities of INGENO Europrojekte GmbH.
